About Me
A school has to work for the child, the family and the institution. That balance is what interests me about K12.
My journey began in 2008, fresh out of SSCBS, Delhi University. My mother ran two playschools, and we decided to build a school in Delhi. It opened in 2009, is now affiliated with CBSE, and I remain involved today. It was my introduction to the realities of building an educational institution.
After an MBA at ISB, I led a healthcare and life sciences vertical globally for a large IT services group, serving clients across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. That work shaped how I think about growth, operating models and adapting across markets.
Leading M&A work involving over ₹1,800 crore taught me another lesson: a good business housed in a poor structure can have limited value to a buyer. Building in fintech deepened my understanding of the RBI’s approach to regulation and compliance.
I also co-founded an AI venture backed by seed funds associated with IIT Bombay and IIM Ahmedabad. It won national awards for innovation and attracted acquisition interest from a major global sports technology company. Today, I lead strategy and transformation in higher education.
Now I’m returning to build in K12.
K12 Notebook brings these perspectives together. What improves learning? What do fees actually pay for? Where can AI make a meaningful difference? Which global models could work within India’s economics and regulation?
I’m a numbers guy. I want to make a point, show the evidence and the working, and put the assumptions up for discussion.
